PMP Project Manager

PMP Project Manager IT - Foster City, CA - 1 year Contract


Requirements:
• Provide project management expertise to multiple concurrent cross-divisional project efforts.
• Direct a mix of internal and outsourced/vendor, local and remote resources for project delivery.
• Embrace teamwork while promoting a culture of openness and flexibility.
• Provide the necessary expertise, direction, motivation and encouragement to the team.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities including flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibility as required.
• Understanding of B2B Extranet and Intranet security and application integration strongly preferred, with technical knowledge of Content Management, Security Access Control, Multiple Security Factors, Search and various Web Development technologies.
• Understanding of Payment / Card industry core business drivers preferred.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience leading technical teams in the delivery of large scale software development, operational and integration efforts.
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration.
• Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of client contract management and incentives programs preferred.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams.
• Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization.
• Solid analytical skills; able to think strategically.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
• PMP certification required.
